This is my friend, Monica. As you can see from the photos on this page, she is an extraordinarily beautiful woman. What you would see if you ever met her is a gentle, golden personality: humble and beyond any pretention.
I met her just before her graduation, and we very quickly became best friends. When she said she was leaving I tried everything in my power to persuade her to stay.
These days I am glad she decided to go. I enjoy Shanghai so much better, with her there. The distance means we always have something to talk about.
